Hello all! I hope you are having a good Friday. Today marked my last day at the office (Hurrah!) Ever since getting married going to work everyday at the dental office became less and less appealing... No matter how much I adored my bosses (because I did!) They were truly the most incredible couple to work for and I couldn't have asked for a better situation. However, all I wanted to do was stay at home... and cook and clean and sew and just in general accomplish of the things that make a home pleasant. The last thing I felt like doing while working and getting home at 5:00 was to come home and cook dinner. Which was terrible!
I am thrilled to begin staying at home now :) I plan to open up an Etsy shop in the next few months (stay tune) and venture into various other entrepreneur-ships that I have been wanting to experiment with for ages! But I just haven't had the time or the energy. On to knitting though! :)
I took up knitting when I turned the age of 6/7. I never looked back. It has to be one of the most relaxing and creatively satisfying crafts. Plus, you can take it anywhere! Doctor's offices usually frown upon setting up your Bernina in the waiting room.. Or at least I would assume so ;) I take my knitting with me almost anywhere I go! These days I am working on the
Killarney Cable Knit Scarf . I love knitting this scarf, mostly for the fact that depending on the yarn you choose...It makes the most perfect Christmas present for either a guy or a gal! A few years ago I taught myself how to cable. At first it seemed incredibly daunting but once I got into the swing of things it was a piece of cake. Next on my knitting learning list is socks... I have tried and failed so many times to knit socks! I need someone in the flesh and blood to show me...Sadly, not many people know how to knit these days.
Here is a progress shot of the Killarney Scarf.
Have you been knitting anything lately?
Do you have any tips for someone wanting to branch out in their knitting repertoire?
Have a fabulous weekend!
